Honey and tea

The visit from Proffessor Rose Cooper to see progress with the Manuka honey project was captured by a TV crew. The Tregothnan honey project is really gathering momentum with samples now also being taken from Kanuka (Kunzea ericoides) to see if extraordinary test results may be explained by this exciting relative of Manuka.

The real star this summer is manuka tea, a glorious infusion of the leaves that has had great results too in independent taste tests and won 5 nil in the BBC James Wong tasting! Manuka is the most popular herbal tea at Cornwalls leading tea house, Tolverne. Male and female alike, this is for everyone in summer and winter; a clear alternative to rooibos. Over 10 tons may be produced to keep pace with demand, more news soon.
