The Tregothnan Estate near Truro, home to the same family since 1300, has the largest historic garden in Cornwall. As a private botanic garden and arboretum, Tregothnan is unequalled, offering a diversity of plants and trees, rare collections, sweeping vistas and peaceful secluded groves.
Although the garden is not open to the public a limited number of private tours where Neil Bennett the Head Gardener acts as a guide, discussing the fascinating history of the garden, its impressive plant collections and their exciting plans for the future.
The tour of the garden, which includes the tea garden lasts approximately two hours and is £50 per person or £70 should you wish to visit the garden via boat.
Tours can be taken at either 10.00am or 2.30pm.
Gift vouchers can now be purchased for Private Garden Visits in our online shop. The gift voucher is in the form of a letter with a reference which the recipient can then redeemed within twelve months of purchase.
